ℹ️ A new domain, forjed.io, was recently registered for a project using the same name, Forjed. We confirm that we have no affiliation with, ownership of, or control over this domain or the project associated with it.
We have noticed that this project is using the same name that we have been using for our own project since 2023.
We understand and acknowledge that a name is not necessarily exclusive to a single entity. However, given that we have been using the Forjed name since 2023, we find the use of the same name by a recently established project unusual and potentially confusing, particularly as there is no connection between the two projects.
We have also reached out to the project by email regarding this matter, but have not received a response.
❔Difference between Forjed and forjed.io
- Forjed: Privacy-focused services, including a privacy-focused search engine, DNS resolver, and end-to-end (E2E) file-sharing platform.
- forjed.io: Projects and tools made for developers.
This clarification is intended to distinguish the two projects and make clear that they are independent and have no affiliation with one another.
However, this does not change the fact that we are the original Forjed. We have been developing and using the Forjed name for our project since 2023, well before the establishment of the project associated with forjed.io.
